Iskcon Temple

ISKCON has formed a non-profit, non-religious, non-sectarian charitable trust registered under The Bombay Public Trusts Act, 1950. Named ISKCON FOOD RELIEF FOUNDATION, the trust has been organizing Midday Meal Program in other towns and cities besides Mumbai and Mira Road, such as Palghar, Nigdi, Delhi, Jaipur, Ujjain, Faridabad, Noida, Kurukshetra, Nellore, Rajahmundry, Tirupati and Silvassa and will soon start this project in Ludhiana. The total number of underprivileged students benefiting from this program implemented by ISKCON Food Relief Foundation will cross 6,00,000 per day by the end of March 2009.

This temple is one of the most beautiful places in Western Mumbai Suburb. The deities of Sri Sri Radhagiridhariji are very beautiful. The people of this place follow 4 regulative principles i.e. no meat eating, no intoxication, no gambling & no illicit relationship with woman; they chant holy name of lord Krishna and Lord Rama, they dance and eat only Krishna prasad. When His Divine Grace A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada set sail for the West in 1965, he carried with him the conviction that India's ancient tradition of devotion to Lord Krishna must be shared with the world. Today, more than forty years since Prabhupada's fateful journey, many devotees of the organization has been established by Him -- the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) -- grapple with how to stay true to Prabhupada's mission, and at the same time be relevant to the needs of the particular times in which we live.

The people of Mira Road have been very fortunate experience the conviction that Swami Prabhupada wanted to share. The beautiful temple is located in Shrushti Complex, a 20 minute walk from the Mira Road train Station.

The walls of the temple depict the life and journey of Lord Krishna. Walking through the premises, your imagination rolls back time explaining every event that occured in Lord Ganesha's life. Lectures are regularly conducted to guide the youth towards the right Lifestyle.
